Patient Forms
Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information about you and your condition(s) or concerns.
Consultation
Next, you will have a consultation with either Dr. Mike, Dr. Mark or Dr. Robbie to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential care options. This initial visit is designed for you to explain to one of our doctors of chiropractic more about you, your condition, and your expectations in order to determine how chiropractic care can help meet your goals.
Examination
After your consultation, your doctor will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your movement, reflexes and flexibility. Other neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed to assess your needs. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
X-Ray Studies
Depending on your specific condition, we may order X-rays for you. X-rays help us develop the most effective care plan for you, and alerts us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
Computer Scans
The doctor may perform a computer evaluation of your nervous system, your posture or perform a gait analysis of your walk. Remember, the nervous system controls every cell, tissue and organ and coordinates your every thought and action.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and all examinations are performed, your chiropractor will present to you with a detailed report of findings and answer any questions including:
1) How can you help me?
2) How often do I need to come in?
3) How much will my care cost?
By reviewing your health history, goals, results from examining your spine and X-rays, your chiropractor will be able to discuss best recommendations and let you know if your condition requires the care of another provider. Dr. Mike, Dr. Mark and Dr. Robbie will suggest the best care and wellness program for your needs.
Chiropractic Care
At the conclusion of the initial appointment, you and your doctor will decide when and what type of care will be provided. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy, and/or soft tissue work. Care is interactive, so you can express your likes or concerns about the different styles of adjustments and care options at any time.
Wellness Program
During your care program, the doctor may suggest wellness strategies to incorporate outside of care. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and home exercises and/or stretches. If you desire, our wellness team will work with you to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan. The purpose of our wellness program is for you to achieve good spinal alignment, ensure a healthy diet, exercise to your capabilities, and maintain a positive mental state.
